About
Farmann, the Norwegian business magazine, published from Oslo Norway since 1891. Offering a unique perspective from Northern Europe.
We believe we offer a unique perspective from our Norwegian vantage point. Norway has a unique millennium old culture of self sufficiency and fierce fight for independence. To this day Norway remains proudly outside the European Union. Norway has the worlds largest per capital income with a vibrant industry even outside the petroleum sector.
The classical Farmand magazine was an uncompromising source of independent thinking and free speech. When the German Wermacht occupied Norway on April 9. 1940 Farmand was immediately forbidden for ever “verboten fur immer” something we are immensely proud of to this day.
See our legacy site for the classical Farmand magazine here.
Farmann is the revival of Farmand brought about by Hans J. Lysglimt in 2002.
We are still working on the best way to publish in both Norwegian and English, for the time being we publish in both languages on our main page farmann.no
This dual language approach is less than optimal, but it has to be this way.
